The Henson

We had an absolutely magical winter stay at The Henson during the coldest weekend of the year; I bet it’s even better in other seasons when you can enjoy the gardens and roof deck! The common spaces are beautiful, the breakfast is sublime (probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had) and the service is excellent. We booked our stay last minute and they were able to squeeze us in for dinner at Matilda despite being fully booked. We were celebrating our recent engagement and they greeted us in our room with a handwritten note and fresh flowers and at dinner with a welcome glass of champagne. These little touches really put our stay over the top. We will definitely be back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Henson. We happened to arrive on a snowy weekend, which made the experience extra cozy. Danielle and Ely have done an incredible job designing the space. Every detail felt thoughtful and welcoming. The communication and hospitality were truly special, and we can’t wait to come back again.

Housekeeping kept everything pristine throughout my stay. This boutique hotel feels like stepping into a carefully curated art piece. The design is stylish without being overwhelming, full of warm tones, cozy textures, and unique decor that tells a story. It creates a sense of charm and comfort that made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an elevated and memorable stay.

We absolutely adored our stay at The Henson. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect boutique escape. The design is incredible—thoughtful, stylish and even more spacious than we expected, while still feeling warm and cozy throughout. The staff truly made our weekend special. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, which elevated the entire experience and made us feel right at home. I could have happily spent all day and night in the living room with a glass of wine, playing games and soaking in the atmosphere. It’s one of those places that makes you slow down and savor the moment. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly, highly recommend!

We had a perfect stay at The Henson over Thanksgiving. It is a special place that feels like a beautiful cozy home that is hard to leave. Every detail has been carefully chosen and blends the luxury of the finest materials alongside antiques and special vintage touches. The breakfast was outstanding and more like something you would find in Europe. The cheeses, meats and other selections were of the finest quality. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. We loved the patio access. Also, the infrared sauna room felt amazing. The grounds in the back are great for strolling and would be lovely in the warmer months. Every single staff person was welcoming, friendly and accommodating to me and my pup. Thank you Zola for the extra touches that enhanced our stay. I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with the wonderful owner Danielle, so thank you to her and Ely for what you have built. We can’t wait to stay at The Henson again.

We had such a lovely visit to The Henson. The hotel itself is charming and the staff go above and beyond to make thoughtful and helpful recommendations. Our room was large and comfortable; they even provided a dog bed and bowls for our pup. It was the perfect getaway for a long weekend. We'll be back!

It was so lovely. All of it. The space is even better in person. We stayed 3 nights and while we really didn’t require anything from the staff, everyone was very kind, welcoming and happy to help in our brief interactions. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable ever! Actually ordered the pillows for home before we even left. The water pressure was superb and water was HOT which was lovely this time of year. The water filter and carafes available to fill was highly appreciated. Provided breakfast spread was incredible. Plenty of restaurants, shops, and skiiing/snowboarding within a 30 min drive (or closer) making it a pretty perfect location for us. Looked into the space after leaving and loved even more finding out how much the owners are involved and all they did themselves to redo it! Feeling inspired for our own home :) It was absolutely noticed and will definitely be back.

I found out about Henson after dining at Matilda (a must !) when a staff member kindly gave my partner and I a quick tour. We booked our stay the following year but our flights got cancelled due to the weather out east. Kara and Danielle graciously rescheduled our reservation and we finally got the chance to experience this very special place. The room was super cozy and breakfast was like as if you were at your grandmothers home (in the chicest way). Everything is accessible in a 30 min drive and highly recommend to come at peak fall foliage season. We will definitely be back !!
